I do not want to trump the really nice post that Vince just put up a few hours ago, but there is news. About 20 minutes after the Super Bowl ended (that we decided to watch from home by ourselves) my water broke! What makes the situation funny is that when we found out we were due in early February I joked that the baby would be born on Superbowl Sunday. As we were sitting down to watch the game with no reason to suspect that anything might happen, Vince looked over at me and said that if I could hold on just a few more hours he would be pleased. And the rest is history...
So, we are not in active labor - no contractions to speak of. We talked to the doctor and she said we could stay home for the time being and that is what we are doing. If things kick into high gear during the night, we will go up to the hospital then. If we are still status quo in the morning, I have an appointment at 9am and they will probably send us to the hospital from there.
Vince has been great so far, and all he really has to say is "Its on like Donkey Kong!" :-) For now, we are going to bed to get some rest... We have asked our good friend Jerry to keep tabs on the blog and update it for us in the coming days. Until then, keep the prayers coming!

I hope no news is good news. Praying that Gumdrop is fighting and everything is going good to get him/her stablized and ready for the journey that lies ahead. Thinking of you and sending you lots of positive energy and thoughts in the weeks to come.
