Camp Week: Sandcastles and Sunshine

We all managed to escape our week on the beach without a single sunburn. That does not mean that we didn't get to fully enjoy some sunshine and beach adventures. Charlie's newest infatuation this year - SANDCASTLES! He wanted nothing more than to fill buckets with sand and dump them into simple little castles over and over and over and over. :-) Filling buckets with water and bringing them back to where we were sitting was also a big hit. It is safe to say that he thoroughly enjoyed himself and playing on the beach.

Taking a very quick break from his work to say
"Cheese!"

My little engineer/architect hard at work

The end result of all that hard work:
A nice nap on the beach
(this was almost a daily occurrence)

So lovely to see Charlie so big and healthy and doing normal boy things. Our cdh babe Samuel was born Feb. 1 of this past year so Charlie is almost exactly two years ahead of him. I love seeing these pictures. And watching your video of those early days made me bawl. Thank you so much for sharing this.
